- Promote Women Empowerment: Increase women’s participation through capacity building and skills training for independence.
- Increase Financial Abilities: Enable women to support their families, educate their children (with a focus on girls), and improve living standards.
Project Description and Effectiveness: The project targets economically and socially disadvantaged women in northern Uganda’s Amuru, Nwoya, and Gulu districts. It addresses poverty and unemployment caused by poor governance and internal conflicts, leading to a cycle of poverty and hopelessness.
Approach: Arms of Destiny Foundation aims to economically empower these women through vocational training and capacity building, helping them engage in development and policy processes. The project will offer tailored vocational training courses to 30 women over six months, enhancing their skills and creating opportunities for holistic development.

The project “women Empowerment” is a mutually agreed plan of implementing
agency, community members and other stakeholders. The project will be highly beneficial not only for the women but also youths of the community but for the community as a whole. It envisages the development in the community which its majority inhabitants as women had been dreaming of since the time of their settlement there.
